What information we collect
When you contact us or book an introductory conversation, we may collect:
- Your name and contact details.
- Information relating to your appointment.
- Information you choose to include in emails or other correspondence.
- Basic technical information processed when you visit our website.
We do not ask you to provide detailed relationship histories when booking an initial conversation.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, discuss our services and manage our business.
Our lawful bases for doing this are:
Steps before entering a contract: When you contact us about potentially working together.
Legitimate interests: When we manage correspondence, maintain appropriate business records and protect our website and communications.
Where required, we may also process information to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Booking appointments
We use Calendly to manage appointment bookings.
When you select a booking link on our website, you are taken to Calendly, which processes information necessary to arrange your appointment.
Calendly has its own privacy notice explaining how it handles personal information.
Who has access to your information
Both Jennifer and Mark may receive and manage enquiries sent to The Goddards.
We also use trusted service providers, including:
- Google, for email and business communications.
- Calendly, for appointment scheduling.
- Cloudflare, for website hosting and security.
These providers may process information on our behalf as necessary to deliver their services.
We do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.
International data transfers
Some of our service providers may process or store personal information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States.
Where UK data protection law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on appropriate arrangements. Calendly, for example, describes contractual safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum.
You can contact us for further information about applicable safeguards.
How long we keep information
If you contact us but do not become a client, we generally retain your enquiry information for up to 12 months after our last meaningful contact.
We may retain information longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
If you become a client, different retention arrangements may apply to information collected during your coaching relationship. We will provide further privacy information as part of our onboarding process.
Cookies and website information
We do not currently use advertising trackers or marketing analytics tools on our website.
Our website hosting provider may process technical information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the website.
Any cookies or similar technologies used for essential website functions will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
We will update this notice if we introduce additional tracking or analytics technologies.
